我的个人看法是，买股票不只是看公司的生意和财务报表，更重要的是看老板！你要了解老板的思维、做事方式，以及他到底把股东的利益放在什么位置。老板明明知道低价Rights Issue可能导致股价承压，甚至引发股东不满，为什么还是要这样做？🤔 股东究竟是公司的合作伙伴，还是挡住老板发财之路的人？当然，这只是我的个人观点。但投资之前，真的要看清楚：老板是在为全体股东创造价值，还是只顾着自己的利益？毕竟，公司是他的生意，投入真金白银的可是股东！💰

Please understand the difference between Genting Berhad’s own debt and the whole Genting Group’s debt.

The RM45.2 billion is the whole group’s debt, including Genting Singapore, Genting Malaysia, Genting Plantations and other subsidiaries. It is not all owed by the parent company alone.

If Genting Berhad’s own debt is RM6.3 billion, the RM1.25 billion rights issue equals about 19.8% of that amount.

But only RM800 million will be used to repay debt. The rest is mainly for working capital and expenses.

The group’s debt still matters, but investors deserve a clear explanation of who owes what. Genting should explain this better.

I worry that scary headlines may cause small investors to panic and sell cheaply. However, there is no proof that someone is doing this on purpose.

Understand the facts before deciding. Don’t sell just because a headline scares you.
