| Working experience and occupation | Ms Grace Yap Mei Wan brings with her over 30 years of extensive experience spanning corporate and commercial law, real estate, capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, compliance and risk management. She possesses deep legal and governance expertise, complemented by proven leadership experience across both legal practice and corporate environments. She began her career in legal practice with Messrs. Azman Davidson & Partners in 1993 and later joined Messrs. Zul Rafique & Partners in 1996. She then moved into corporate practice, serving as Legal Manager of Sime Darby Berhad from 2000 to 2004, and subsequently in 2007 as Head of Legal Department at Putrajaya Holdings Sdn. Bhd. In 2011, she joined CapitaLand Malaysia Group, where she oversaw the group's legal, secretarial, compliance and risk management functions, and served as the Compliance Officer for its real estate investment trust listed on Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad, a role she held until 2021. From January 2023 to January 2024, she served as Vice President of the Legal, Secretariat, Compliance & Risk Management Department. She currently serves as an Independent Non-Executive Director of Bata Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. and Sungei Bagan Rubber Company (Malaya) Berhad. |
