KUALA LUMPUR: Tuju Setia Bhd has secured a high-rise project worth RM420 million from Sunway Bhd to build serviced apartment towers for the Sunway Cochrane Kuala Lumpur project.
The contract is awarded by Sunway Cochrane Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Sunway, appointing Tuju Setia as the main contractor for the project.
Under the contract, Tuju Setia will build two serviced apartment towers supported by podium facilities comprising retail floors, facilities decks, a seven-storey car park and a link bridge providing direct access to the Cochrane MRT station.
The project is scheduled to commence on March 1, 2026 and is expected to be completed over a period of 40 months.
The contract provides earnings visibility for the company through 2029.
Tuju Setia managing director Wee Eng Kong said the award reflects the confidence in Tuju Setia.
"As we approach the end of 2025, this latest win bodes well to the replenishment of our order book as we have successfully completed six projects in the year 2024 and 2025, all achieving an industry QLASSIC score of over 80 per cent," he said.
Sunway Cochrane Kuala Lumpur is a 2.18-hectare transit-oriented development in the Jalan Cochrane neighbourhood of Kuala Lumpur, comprising two freehold serviced apartment towers - Block A with 54 storeys and Block B with 55 storeys.
