Wawasan Dengkil secures RM16.15 mil sub-contract for flood mitigation works in Sepang

KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 25): Wawasan Dengkil Holdings Bhd (KL:DENGKIL) has secured a RM16.15 million subcontract to undertake flood mitigation works in Sepang, Selangor.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia on Tuesday, the earthworks and civil engineering construction services company said its wholly owned subsidiary Wawasan Dengkil Sdn Bhd had accepted the letter of award (LOA) from Warisan Infra Sdn Bhd for the job at Sungai Langat, which includes site clearance and demolition works, civil works, structural works and geotechnical works.

The project commences on Nov 25 and is slated for completion by Jan 1, 2027.

A defect liability period of 24 months will apply from the issuance of the Certificate of Practical Completion under the main contract.

Wawasan Dengkil said time is of the essence for the works, noting that any delay may result in liquidated and ascertained damages of RM20,000 per calendar day or part thereof.

Listed on the ACE Market on March 25, Wawasan Dengkil's shares closed unchanged at 19 sen on Tuesday (Nov 25), with a market capitalisation of RM102.62 million.
