Cypark Resources Bhd’s (KL:CYPARK) near-term reported losses are likely to persist, said BIMB Securities, as slow construction segment earnings recognition led to missed estimate in the latest reporting season.  Cypark's weaker-than-expected first half ended Oct 31, 2025 (1HFY2026) was partly due to solar construction jobs which were "back-end loaded with limited second-quarter recognition", said BIMB Securities in a note.

KUALA LUMPUR: Cypark Resources Bhd slipped into the red in the second quarter of its financial year 2026, weighed down by a one-off reversal of provision amounting to RM30.1 million.

The Perak government appointed a joint venture between Gamuda Bhd and PKNPk to develop water treatment infrastructure in Kerian, Northern Perak, under the RM5 billion Northern Perak Water Supply Scheme (NPWSS). This project aims to address long-standing water shortages for irrigation, domestic, and industrial use. The NPWSS will supply 1,500 MLD of raw water from Sungai Perak to the Bukit Merah Dam, with 500 MLD allocated for immediate irrigation needs in Northern Perak and the balance treated for domestic and industrial demands. Excess treated water will be sold to Penang, boosting its water security and supporting industrial growth. Gamuda's expertise in engineering, digital construction tools like BIMAR, and AI education through initiatives such as the Gamuda AI Academy will drive innovation and skill development.
