We refer to the Company’s announcements dated 25 January 2019, 23 November 2020, 16 December 2020 and 4 May 2021 respectively.
The Company wishes to announce that the Decision for the Assessment of Damages Suit was given on 19 June 2025 where the High Court had decided follows:
1. That the Assessed Damages are in the quantum of RM1,963,132.65 as claimed by the Plaintiff; 2. Judgment interest was ordered at a rate of 5% from the date that liability was found by the High Court; and 3. Costs of RM40,000.00 was ordered to be paid to the Plaintiff.
GP Autobat Sdn. Bhd. intends to file an Appeal against the said Decision along with a Stay of Execution.
Any further material development on this matter will be announced accordingly.
