The Company wishes to announce that the Company had on 28 May 2025 via its solicitors, Messrs S Ravenesan, made an application to seek directions pursuant to Section 461(1) and Section 486 read together with Twelfth Schedule of the Companies Act 2016 and/or the inherent jurisdiction of the High Court of Kuala Lumpur under Companies Winding-up Petition No.: WA-28NCC-992-10/2023,for the following orders and/or directions:-

1. That the Honorouble Court determines the following questions:-

i. Whether the Liquidators of Leader Cable Industry Berhad (“LCIB”) should accept the offer by MIE Industrial Sdn Bhd (“MIE”) to acquire the assets of LCIB in the best interest of all creditors of LCIB and the stakeholders of the Company;

ii. In the event that the Liquidators of LCIB have accepted the offer by MIE, whether the Liquidators of LCIB had acted in the best interest of all creditors of LCIB in accepting the offer by MIE to acquire the assets of LCIB; and

iii. Whether the Liquidators of LCIB ought to proceed with the sale of assets of LCIB to MIE in the best interest of all creditors of LCIB;

2. The Company seeks the following consequential orders, in the event that the Honourable Court answers Prayer 1 above in the negative:-

i. An order that the sale of the assets of LCIB to MIE be declared null and void; and

ii. An order that the sale and purchase agreement and/or any other agreements entered into between LCIB and MIE in relation to the sale of assets of LCIB be declared null and void.

3. Costs of the application would be paid out of the assets of LCIB; and

4. further and/or other reliefs deem fit and proper by the Honourable Court.

The Company will make further announcements as and when there are material developments on the above matter.

NOTICE: The affairs, business and property of the Company are being managed by the Interim Judicial Manager appointed by the High Court of Malaya. The Interim Judicial Manager contracts and acts as an agent of the Company and disclaims any personal liability under any contract entered into by the Company which has been adopted by the Interim Judicial Manager and any contract entered into by the Interim Judicial Manager on behalf of the Company.
