The Company makes reference to a news article in The Edge dated 16.5.2025 (“the Article”).

The Article reported that the Company’s major shareholder and Director, Datuk Seri Mahmud Abu Bekir Taib, was neither aware of and nor does he support the Board of the Company’s decision to sue the liquidators of Leader Cable Industry Bhd (“LCIB”) regarding their handling of the sale of the assets of LCIB. The Article is based on an email sighted by The Edge which was issued by an unnamed lawyer representing Datuk Seri Mahmud Abu Bekir Taib.

The Company would like to state that the email issued by the unnamed lawyer to The Edge is untrue as the Board has deliberated the matter and it was duly recorded prior to the announcement. The meeting was also recorded accordingly and witnessed by those present.

The Company hopes that the Edge would take the necessary steps to remedy this falsification by these unnamed lawyers, who are interfering in the affairs of the Company.

The Company will make further announcements as and when there are material developments on the above matter.

NOTICE: The affairs, business and property of the Company are being managed by the Interim Judicial Manager appointed by the High Court of Malaya.
