The Board of Directors of UEM Edgenta wishes to announce that Edgenta Mediserve Sdn Bhd (“EMSB”), a wholly-owned subsidiary of UEM Edgenta, had on 7 March 2025, agreed to accept the extension of the Concession Agreement dated 1 April 2015 for the provision of Hospital Support Services at Contract Hospitals in the States of Perak, Pulau Pinang, Kedah and Perlis (“Concession Agreement”) via the Interim Agreement (as defined below). 

The Concession Agreement dated 1 April 2015 is due to expire on 31 March 2025. The extension allows EMSB to continue providing the Hospital Support Services on an interim basis for a period of thirty-six (36) months commencing from 1 April 2025 and expiring on 31 March 2028, with an option to extend for one (1) year, and a further extension of one (1) year thereafter, based on the same terms and conditions of the Concession Agreement (“Interim Agreement”). The Government of Malaysia and EMSB will execute the Interim Agreement in due course to formalise the extension.  

The Company will make further announcements on any material developments of the matter from time to time.
