YM Raja Dato' Zamilia graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Hons) Law with Land Use and Development from De Montford University, Leicester, United Kingdom (1989).

A seasoned strategic communications professional, she excels in reputation management, branding, issues and crisis management, with specialised experience in government relations, sustainability, corporate planning and investor relations. Throughout her career, she has gained extensive cross-industry experience, having worked in sectors such as health, agribusiness, Islamic banking, transportation, aviation, building materials, automotive, and hospitality. Her  diverse background spans public-listed companies, government-linked companies, statutory bodies and multinational corporations.

With over 30 years of experience, YM Raja Dato' Zamilia has spent the last 18 years holding key positions in notable organisations, including Kuwait Finance House (Malaysia) Berhad, Malaysia Airlines Berhad, FGV Holdings Berhad, MSM Malaysia Holdings Berhad, Northern Corridor Implementation Authority (NCIA), and ProtectHealth Corporation Sdn Bhd (a wholly-owned subsidiary under the Ministry of Health).

YM Raja Dato' Zamilia has been part of the pre-opening of a few companies including Malaysia's first foreign Islamic bank. In addition, during her tenure at FGV Holdings Berhad, she championed the re-branding of FGV after its listing. She had also established the group's sustainability department and spearheaded the formulation of several key policies group-wide.
