DRJ’s Application for a Stay of Proceeding at the Court of Appeal against the Additional Assessment imposed by the Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (“IRB”) (“Stay Application”)

Following the filing of DRJ’s Stay Application on 6 April 2023, the Court of Appeal had fixed the first Case Management on 12 April 2023. During this Case Management, the Court of Appeal had directed as follows:-

(a) DGIR to file its affidavit in reply by 5 May 2023;

(b) DRJ to file its affidavit in reply by 12 May 2023; and

(c) another Case Management is fixed on 12 May 2023 to fix the Hearing date of the Stay Application.

DRJ’s Appeal at the Court of Appeal against the Shah Alam High Court’s Decision in dismissing DRJ’s Application for Leave to Seek Judicial Review (“DRJ’s Appeal”)

Following the filing of DRJ’s Appeal on 29 March 2023, the Company was advised by its solicitors that the Court of Appeal has fixed a Case Management on 27 June 2023.

The Company will make further announcement on any material development of the matter from time to time.
