Reference is made to the Company’s announcements dated 19 August 2019 and subsequent announcements as well as the circular to shareholders dated 29 October 2019 in relation to the Proposed SCR (“Announcements”). Unless otherwise defined, the definitions used in this announcement shall have the same meanings as those defined in the Announcements.
On behalf of the Board, Hong Leong Investment Bank Berhad wishes to announce that due to the announcement made by the Government of Malaysia on the extension of the Movement Control Order, the High Court of Malaya has postponed the hearing date from 22 April 2020 to 10 June 2020 to confirm the reduction of share capital of the Company pursuant to Section 116 of the Act to give effect to the Proposed SCR.
Following the above, we have updated the tentative timetable for the implementation of the Proposed SCR:
