Further to the Company's announcement dated 2 July 2026 in relation to the above matter, the Board of Directors of Pantech Group Holdings Berhad ("Company") wishes to announce that the High Court of Malaya had on 24 September 2026 granted an interim stay on the payment of the Capital Gains Tax ("CGT") by the Company pending the Court's decision on the Company's application for leave to commence judicial review proceedings. The proceedings were commenced pursuant to the decision of the Director General of Inland Revenue ("DGIR") in rejecting the Company's application for exemption of CGT and thereby imposing CGT on the Company ("Decision").

Accordingly, the Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia ("IRB") is unable to enforce the Decision against the Company for the time being, pending the Court's decision on the leave application.

The Court has fixed 17 December 2026 for the decision on the leave application.

The Company will make further announcement(s) to Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad as and when there are any material developments in relation to the above matter.
