Reference is made to the announcements on 2 July 2026 and 6 July 2026 in relation to the Arbitration commenced by China Communications Construction (ECRL) Sdn Bhd ("CCC") against Mudajaya Corporation Berhad ("MCB"), a wholly owned subsidiary of the Company, and the Adjudication Decision dated 31 May 2026 made under CIPAA 2012 in favour of MCB. 

The Board of Directors of Mudajaya wishes to announce that on 1 September 2026, MCB served a second Payment Claim under CIPAA 2012 against CCC for unpaid certified amount under CCC's Interim Payment Certificates, under-certification and non-certification of work done, uncertified variations and wrongful contra charges, all amounting to a sum of RM17,556,221.94, together with interest at the rate of 5% per annum on their respective due dates.

The Company further wishes to update that the arbitration proceeding is still at its early stage, and parties are in the process of appointing an Arbitrator.

The Company will continue to make the necessary announcements, to the extent needed to comply with its disclosure obligations under the relevant listing rules of Bursa Malaysia, should there be any material developments in relation to this matter and will modify and/or update its disclosures as appropriate.
