| Working experience and occupation | Puan Zainora Bt Zainal has more than 35 years of experience in the construction industry, encompassing industry development, policy formulation, construction standards, contractor development, organisational transformation and international cooperation. She began her career as a Graduate Trainee Engineer with British Aerospace and GEC Plessey Telecommunications. Subsequently, she served with Labuan Corporation in 1996 before joining the Construction Industry Development Board ("CIDB") Malaysia in 1998, where she held various senior positions involving construction development, technology, policy and industry transformation.
On 28 November 2024, Puan Zainora was appointed as the first woman to hold the position of Chief Executive of CIDB Malaysia. During her tenure, CIDB intensified the implementation of the Construction Action Plan 2026-2030 (CAP30), expanded Building Information Modelling (BIM) capabilities and strengthened the readiness of local contractors to participate in high-technology strategic sectors. She retired from CIDB Malaysia in January 2026. |
