We refer to our announcements dated 20 May 2026 and 5 June 2026 on the above matter.
The Board of Directors of Mega First Corporation Berhad ("MFCB") wishes to update that the High Court had on 22 July 2026 allowed the Application. The sealed High Court order was issued on 27 July 2026.
The High Court made the following orders, amongst others:-
Edenor Group of Companies be placed under judicial management pursuant to Section 405 of the Companies Act 2016; and
- Mr Lim Tian Huat and Mr Chiang Teng Guan of Messrs Rodgers Reidy & Co shall be appointed as the judicial managers of Edenor Group of Companies to amongst others, manage the affairs, businesses and properties of Edenor Group of Companies in accordance with the provisions of the Companies Act 2016.
In the meantime, the Board of Directors of MFCB wishes to inform that the moratorium under Section 411(4) of the Companies Act 2016 is now in effect and shall continue to remain in force during the period of the JMO, subject to the terms of the High Court's order and the applicable provisions of the Companies Act 2016. During the moratorium period, no proceedings, execution or other legal process may be commenced or continued against the Edenor Group or its property save with the leave of the High Court.
