We refer to the announcements dated 25 October 2019, 27 November 2019 and 15 July 2020 in respect of the Legal Proceedings against the 1st Defendant, 2nd Defendant and 3rd Defendant. Unless otherwise stated, the definitions used herein shall have the same meanings as set out in the said announcements.

The Board of Directors of Mah Sing wishes to announce that the High Court of Kuala Lumpur ("High Court") had, on 24 July 2026, dismissed the Plaintiff's claim against all the Defendants, and made the following orders:

(a)        the 1st Defendant's counterclaim of RM114,088.23 ("Judgment Sum") was allowed with interest at the rate of 5% per annum from 23 May 2019 until the date of full realisation; and

(b)        the Plaintiff shall pay the total cost of RM1.65 million to all the Defendants.

The financial impact on the Group arising from the High Court's orders is expected to be limited to the Judgment Sum, the total costs awarded to the Defendants, and the interest payable pursuant to the High Court's order.

The Plaintiff does not expect the High Court's decision to have any material adverse effect on the business operations of the Group.

The Plaintiff will continue to obtain legal advise from its solicitors in relation to the matter, including the appropriate next steps. Further announcements will be made in due course should there be any material developments.
