Amova Asset Management Co., Ltd ("Amova AM") (formerly known as Nikko Asset Management Co., Ltd) has announced the successful completion of its acquisition of AHAM Asset Management Berhad ("AHAM Capital"), the manager of the TradePlus exchange-traded funds ("TradePlus ETFs") listed on Bursa Malaysia.

The TradePlus ETFs currently listed on Bursa Malaysia are the TradePlus Shariah Gold Tracker and TradePlus S&P New China Tracker.

The acquisition involved the purchase of shares in AHAM Capital from Starlight Asset Sdn. Bhd. (68.35%), Lembaga Tabung Angkatan Tentera (7%) and Starlight Management Company (Jersey) Limited (2.325%). Following the acquisition, Amova AM's equity interest in AHAM Capital increased from 20.0% to 97.675%, making it the controlling shareholder of AHAM Capital.

There will be no changes to the trading and operations of the TradePlus ETFs following the completion of the acquisition.
