1. INTRODUCTION

Malaysia Marine and Heavy Engineering Holdings Berhad ("MHB" or "the Company") wishes to announce that MHB's wholly-owned and a major subsidiary, Malaysia Marine and Heavy Engineering Sdn Bhd ("MMHE") had on 4 June 2026 been served with a Writ and Statement of Claim, from the solicitors acting for Solution Technologies Sdn Bhd ("ST").

2. BACKGROUND

In Writ and Statement of Claim, ST claims losses allegedly arising from the termination of a purported contract relating to the Transportation and Installation Works for part of the Provision of Engineering, Procurement, Construction & Installation of Five (5) Wellhead Platforms, Five (5) Subsea Pipelines and Host Tie-In Works for Joint Development Area Field Development Project (Phase 6) contract.

The alleged losses claimed by ST include special damages amounting to RM54,006,793.00 for among others project administration cost, payment to sub-vendor, project management team salary, project engineering works as well as loss of profit, loss of opportunity, general damages and aggravated damages.

On 4 June 2026, MMHE had filed its Memorandum of Appearance. MMHE will take all relevant and necessary action to oppose ST's claim and safeguard its interests.  

3. OPERATIONAL AND FINANCIAL IMPACT ON THE GROUP

There is no financial or operational impact on the MHB Group at this juncture arising from the Writ and Statement of Claim served on MMHE.

4. DIRECTORS' AND SUBSTANTIAL SHAREHOLDERS' INTEREST

None of the directors, major shareholders of MHB, or persons connected with them has any interest, direct or indirect, in the matter.

5. FURTHER ANNOUNCEMENTS

The Company shall make further announcements as and when there are any material developments in relation to this matter.
