The Board of Directors ("Board") of Gamuda Berhad [Co. Regn. No. 197601003632 (29759-T)] ("Gamuda") is pleased to update that Upper Padas Power Sdn Bhd ("UPPSB") has on 29 April 2026 received the Letter of Acceptance ("LoA") from the Sabah State Water Department ("JANS") for the appointment of UPPSB for the construction of Phase 1 of Skim Bekalan Air Ulu Padas or "SBAUP" with a contract value of RM5.98 billion.

SBAUP is a holistic water supply scheme for Sabah's west coast with an ultimate design capacity of 950 MLD to be developed in phases.

Phase 1 of SBAUP entails the construction of a water treatment plant with a capacity of 350 MLD in Beaufort district with water pipelines spanning an estimated length of 200km in the west coast of Sabah from Sipitang to Kota Kinabalu.

UPPSB is a wholly owned subsidiary of UPP Holdings Sdn Bhd, in which Gamuda holds a 45% direct equity interest.
