Encik Shahrizal Suhainy is currently the Head, Special Projects, Group Finance of SD Guthrie Berhad (Guthrie) where he leads the procurement operating model transformation and other Guthrie Group-level strategic initiatives. He has over 18 years of experience encompassing various audit roles at KPMG Malaysia, and Chief Financial Officer and Regional Chief Executive Officer roles within the plantation industry.
He joined Guthrie in November 2022 as Chief Financial Officer, Upstream Indonesia, where he oversaw the finance and IT functions, led financial strategy, and managed budgeting, and cash management. During his tenure, he was also involved with several subsidiary disposal transactions to streamline the portfolio of Upstream Indonesia and maximise asset monetisation, as well as the transition of Upstream Indonesia into a flagship subsidiary.
From June 2024 to December 2025, he served as Regional Chief Executive Officer, Riau Utara Acheh, Upstream Indonesia, overseeing regional operations and driving performance and governance improvements.
Prior to joining Guthrie, Encik Shahrizal was the Chief Financial Officer of TH Plantations Berhad from 2021 to 2022, where he led, among others, the establishment of a RM1.2 billion Sukuk programme. He previously spent 14 years with KPMG Malaysia, last holding the position of Audit Partner. |
