Mr. Wong Liang Huat ("Mr Derrick") is a seasoned business leader with over 18 years of proven experience in the shipping and logistics industry, which he drived sustainable growth, operational excellence, and market expansion across global and regional shipping lines. He is highly regarded for his strategic vision, strong commercial acumen, and effective stakeholder management, with a consistent track record of leading teams, managing substantial revenue portfolios, and building long-term strategic partnerships.

Mr Derrick began his carrer as Sales Executive at Evergreen Marine (Malaysia), where he managed and focused the sales of long-haul trade lanes including Europe, the Mediterranean, Australia, South Africa, and the USA.  

Earlier in his carrer, Mr Derrick joined Mediterranean Shipping Company, where he progressed from Senior Executive to Sales Manager within two years due to strong performance. In this role, he oversaw branch operations, managed a portfolio of 24 services and lead a team of sales executives to achieve sales targets and expand market shares, while enhancing customer service delivery.

Mr Derrick's most recent role was as Branch Manager at MTT Shipping, where he manage overall branch operations, sales, marketing, and customer service for more than seven years. He was subsequently promoted to Senior Branch Manager in 2024 and taking on additional responsibilities at the company's largest revenue-generating branch located at the Port Klang office. In this role, he also assisting the Managing Director and Marketing Director with research and implementation of new service.
