Puan Najihah Binti Abas began her career as Assistant Director in the Mineral & Paper Division of Malaysian Investment Development Authority ("MIDA") and was subsequently appointed as Deputy Director in the Industry Support Division and transferred to the Transport Technology Division, leading strategic initiatives in Automative, Aerospace, Rail and Ship Building & Ship Repairing.

In 2012, she held the position of Director of MIDA office in London, United Kingdom ("UK") with the coverage of UK and Republic of Ireland, successfully brought in notable brands to establish projects in Malaysia.

In 2015, she was appointed as the Director at Building Technology and Lifestyle contributed in the formation of the Federation of Malaysian Fashion Textile and Industry and initiated the collaboration between MIDA and Construction Industry Development Board ("CIDB") to promote the Industrial Building System in Malaysia.

She served as Executive Director ("ED") of MIDA for Non Resource Industries from 2021 to 2023, overseeing key sectors including Electrical and Electronics, Building Technology & Lifestyles, Transport Technology and Machinery & Metal.

In 2023, she transitioned to the role of ED for Investment Promotion, responsible for driving Foreign Investment, Domestic Investment and Cross Border Investment. From 2024 to August 2025, she was the ED for Corporate Management Services with oversight of divisions on Corporate Management, Human Resource Management, Finance & Accounts, Information Technology Systems Development, Legal & Government Relations Section.
