(Unless otherwise stated, all abbreviations and definitions used herein shall have the same meaning as those used in the announcements dated 5 November 2024, 19 June 2025 and 15 August 2025 in relation to the Proposed Acquisitions (“Announcements”)) We refer to the Announcements. On behalf of the Board, Maybank IB wishes to announce that the Unit Kerjasama Awam Swasta (Public Private Partnership Unit of the Prime Minister’s Department) (“UKAS”) has, vide its letter dated 23 September 2025 which was received by the Company on 25 September 2025, approved the disposal of ordinary shares of two (2) companies in KPSSB to GNCB as follows: a) disposal of 45% equity interest in SDASB to GNCB such that the remaining 55% equity interest in SDASB represents 30.25% Bumiputera shareholding in KPSSB; and b) disposal of 100% equity interest in SESB to GNCB. In view that UKAS has approved the acquisition of only 45% equity interest in SDASB instead of 100% equity interest as originally proposed, the Board will deliberate on the implications of UKAS’ decision and determine the appropriate next steps with regards to the Proposed Acquisitions and a further announcement will be made in due course.
