| Working experience and occupation | Tan Sri Dato' Seri Utama Zainal Rahim Seman has more than 40 years of experience in the public service. He began his career in 1982 as an Administrative and Diplomatic Officer and has served in various senior positions including District Officer in Penang, State Development Officer of Penang, Yang Di-Pertua of the Penang Municipal Council, and State Secretary of Penang. He was subsequently appointed as Secretary-General of the Ministry of Human Resources in 2011, Deputy Director-General of Public Service (Operations) in 2014, Director General of MAMPU in 2015, and later Director-General of Public Service from 2017 to 2018. He also served as Chairman of the Public Services Commission of Malaysia from 2018 to 2023. Currently, Tan Sri Dato' Seri Utama Zainal Rahim Seman is the Chairman of the National Wages Council (Majlis Perundingan Gaji Negara) (2024 - 2026) and the Chairman of the Council of Advisory for NAFAS (Majlis Penasihat NAFAS) (2024 - 2025). |
