Mesiniaga Berhad (“Plaintiff” or “the Company”) wishes to announce that the Company had, on 23 July 2025 filed a Writ of Summons together with a Statement of Claim in the Kuala Lumpur High Court (“Court”) against the following parties: Ahmad Shazwan bin Harun, Mohd Izwan bin Ismail, Faizal bin Ishak and Laman7 Sdn. Bhd. (collectively, the “Defendants”) The action was filed through the Company’s appointed solicitor, Chambers of Fadzilah Pilus.

1. The Company is claiming, amongst others, the following reliefs:

(a) Damages in the sum of RM2,986,676.92;

(b) Alternatively, an order that the Defendants to account for, return and disgorge all profits and benefits obtained by them or their nominees arising from the payments under challenge in these proceedings, to the Company;

(c) Exemplary, punitive, and aggravated damages to be assessed by the Court;

(d) Interest on the damages and/or equitable compensation claimed at the rate of 5% per annum from the date of judgement until full settlement;

(e) Cost of the civil suit filed; and

(f) Such further order or relief deemed just and appropriate by the Court.

2. Details of the circumstances leading to the filing of Writ of Summons

The Writ of Summons was filed following the discovery of suspected irregularities involving the Defendants in relation to certain transactions, which included the use of questionable documentation used to facilitate payments. The Company is pursuing legal action for breach of duty, wrongful conduct, and to recover the damages.

3. Financial & Operational Impact

The legal proceedings are not expected to have any material adverse effect on the Company’s financial and operational position. The proceedings represent a proactive step by the Company to recover the damages, and a favourable outcome would contribute positively to the Company’s financial results.

The Company will make the necessary announcements as and when there is further material development in relation to the legal proceedings.
